Meet Our Providers

Dr. Gee graduated from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR with a B.A. in Biology. From there he continued his education at Oregon Health and Sciences University where he received his M.D. in 1991. In 1994, Dr. Gee completed his family practice residency right here in Boise at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho. He has been Board Certified in Family Medicine since 1995.

Outside of medicine Dr. Gee has many interests and hobbies. When he is at home he stays busy gardening, landscaping and hobby farming. He values spending quality time with his wife and their 2 sons and 2 daughters. Dr. Gee also keeps busy traveling. He enjoys international travel and has made multiple trips to Asia and Africa where he volunteers to lead medical teams. Dr. Gee stays active by spending time in the Sawtooth Mountains hiking, backpacking and hunting. He has been married to his beloved wife Kristi for 19 years.

Julie L. Scott is a physician assistant with twenty years of family-practice experience.  She completed Idaho State University’s Physician Assistant Program in 1999.  In 2004, she earned a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska.

Julie’s early career included a nine-year stint practicing with Dr. David Gee.  She is pleased to have reunited with him at Main Family Medical, where she feels at home as part of a team of providers working together to ensure that patients receive high-quality care.  Julie listens to her patients, gets to know them, and gives her all to attending to their medical needs.

Julie and her family have lived in Boise since 2004.  She enjoys the outdoor recreational opportunities the Treasure Valley has to offer, particularly running, biking, and skiing.
